Description
We opened the Locanda dei Poeti bed and breakfast because we wanted to make a completely unique place in Florence. Our focus is on poetry, poetry that can enjoyed throughout your stay.

The first floor has a classic style. It is furnished with period furnishings, handpainted by master decorators, and poems of Shakespeare, Dante Alighieri, Lorenzo dè Medici..

The second floor has a modern style, it is decorated with simplicity and great attention to detail.

Here you can read poems by the greatest poets of our times: Jacques Prevert, Bertolt Brecht, Pedro Salinas..

Structure in a very convenient location for those arriving by train, a few minutes from the Duomo. Very clean and precise management, friendly and helpful. There is a small kitchen and living room available to guests, equipped with the necessary dishes and it is very convenient for a quiet breakfast (there is an excellent bakery in front).

Beautiful, clean room, everything very helpful... only flaw I recommend not adding the option of breakfast for an extra 10 euros, as I was disappointed. For everything else, all great.

The room and the bathroom were clean and very quiet. Near the room there was a small kitchenette where the owners had left for the guests, coffee, tea, infusions, snacks, cookies, cereals... we appreciated!

After misunderstanding about the free room schedule, there was a lot of availability and courtesy in meeting the needs also due to having a dog with us. Convenient location for the station and for reaching points of interest on foot.

Sinceramente non c’era nessun fraintendimento sull'orario della consegna della stanza. in tutto il mondo le stanze vengono consegnate dopo le 14; se il giorno prima dell'arrivo dell’ospite la camera é occupata è ovvio che non può essere consegnata alle 11 di mattina. Come facciamo ad avere il tempo di pulirla se nella nostra struttura il check out è alle 12?!?per di più vi abbiamo dato la possibilità di stare fino alle 17 in stanza il giorno della vostra partenza senza pagare nessun supplemento.forse se vi facevamo lasciare la camera alle 12 come tutti, avreste capito come funziona. O forse nemmeno.. Visto che pare che il suo voto sia condizionato da questa convinzione, non c'è altro da dire..

I was traveling by train for work and I was looking for a Bed and Breakfast that was close to the Florence station. The Locanda dei Poeti is not very far from the Santa Maria Novella stop, assuming you're not carrying a lot of luggage, it takes about 8 minutes on foot. The structure is nice, beautiful phrases of poets on the walls, the room cleanliness is excellent. I stayed in a single room on the first floor, perfect bathroom and I found extra blankets and pillows in the wardrobe. I could bring my little cat with me, because pets are allowed. Via Guelfa, where the Bed and Breakfast is located, has at least three trattorias and in the surroundings there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a pharmacy and souvenir shops. The structure is a short walk from the historic center, ideal for a dive into Tuscan art. I couldn't meet the owners but we were in touch throughout my stay that lasted less than 24 hours. Florence cannot be seen in one night but, if I return, I will stop again to sleep at the Locanda dei Poeti, hospitality and cleanliness assured. Thank you.

Very convenient the fact that on the reception floor there is a lounge available to all guests, with the possibility of leaving the luggage even after leaving the room.

The location is not very central but is a short distance from both the station and the center. The room we liked even though it was not very big, small but adequate bathroom, air conditioning and TV available. Nearby you can find both places to eat and small supermarkets. Manager always available and kind, prompt in case of need. The breakfast is good but the choice and quantity are too few, in the end you are limited to a cappuccino or juice, with croissant and glass of water. All in all the experience was positive, thank you.

Great bed and breakfast near the station and well taken care of in detail. However, the breakfast needs to be reviewed considering the proposal to pay 5 euros more than the rate indicated on the Bed and Breakfast portal. Still recommended.

Friendliness and availability, well-kept and very clean structure. Great location, a stone's throw from the station and very close to the historic center. I recommend it and hope to return soon.

I spent a weekend with my sister at this property. In addition to the extreme kindness of the managers who also gave us precise directions on where to have lunch and dinner in typical restaurants, we were able to appreciate the care and cleanliness of the place and the fact that it is in a great location. Delightful structure, not particularly spacious, but equipped with common areas (for example the small kitchen and the little living room); very good location just a few steps from San Lorenzo and the Duomo square.
