B&B La Formichina

Family-run structure, Michele and his family are very kind and available for any information, clarification, and need. The B&B is a short 10-minute drive to reach the city center and beaches. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and detailed, with a very comfortable external veranda, private parking available on-site. The sweet breakfast with cakes, pastries, fruit juices, and yogurt is good. Possibility to have dinner at the property, highly recommended, we had a delicious seafood pasta made with exceptional ingredients. Highly recommended.

A beautiful Bed and Breakfast a couple of kilometers from the center of Peschici, immersed in greenery, organized in spacious and independent rooms with a furnished veranda. The structure is managed by Michele who is very kind and friendly, always available to offer suggestions on beaches and local places. Top breakfast, with delicious croissants, homemade cakes and jams, and fresh fruit produced by the Bed and Breakfast. We will definitely come back!

My wife and I felt at home! Mrs. Angela is like a mother, she took care of us, we had breakfast together every morning with homemade sweets and fruit picked from their garden, all genuine and seasoned with the most important ingredient: hospitality! Our room was always tidy and clean, new towels every day and clean amenities as if we had just arrived, including changing sheets midweek. Family and affectionate environment, we also met the granddaughter and one of her sons, all wonderful people! Quiet and safe place, freedom of movement and mutual trust, we couldn't have found better! Returning to Puglia also means returning to Angela and enjoying her caring welcome again! Thank you so much, we carry you in our hearts.

We stayed at B&B La Formichina from the 7th to the 10th of August and we had a really great time! The property is just a few minutes by car from the sea and very close to the Umbra forest which offers a nice breeze during the day and evening to cool off from the summer heat. Special mention to the Owner of the property and her daughter: both living next to B&B La Formichina and very helpful in recommending beaches, tours, and culinary places.

Charming place, close to a wonder like Peschici. Immersed in nature. Owner super kind and helpful. Delicious breakfast. We will definitely return.

I was very pleased with this B&B La Formichina and the lady who runs it. It is immersed in greenery (which is very good for cooling off from the summer heat of the sea), the structure is equipped with all the comforts and the breakfast is very good and plentiful, with homemade products. Excellent value for money. Excellent friendliness and welcome from the owner. If I have the opportunity to be in the area, I will definitely come back.

Relaxing holiday in this property located in a strategic position to reach the local beaches and the center of Peschici. The owner Angela is always kind and helpful in giving advice on the stay. Accurate room cleaning and excellent breakfasts! Recommended.

My wife and I stayed for 7 days in this beautiful B&B La Formichina. We felt really good, as if we were at home. Angela is a truly helpful host always ready to fulfill our every request. Her advice on places to visit is precious. Special mention goes to the breakfast: excellent with natural and homemade products: cakes, jams, and fresh fruit. A holiday to remember and repeat.

Beautiful, welcoming, very well-kept structure. The owner is very hospitable and helpful. Daily cleaning and frequent linen changes. Excellent and plentiful breakfast, also with products prepared by the owner.

Perfect place for those looking for a family environment. The structure, located about 2 km from Peschici, is in a quiet and cooler position than the town center. Spacious and clean rooms. Angela and her daughter Maria were able to advise us on places to visit (including beaches) and on good places to eat. On the evening of Ferragosto, they prepared dinner for us guests, a way to let us know their typical dishes and to spend a cheerful evening in the company of other guests and the owners themselves. To brighten the days, in addition to Maria's wonderful children, the two dogs Rex and Chicco also contributed.

In this hot summer (47 degrees on average) we were lucky enough to stay at La Formichina and meet Angela, the owner of the property, who made us feel at home at every moment of our stay, recommending the most beautiful beaches and the best places to eat. Excellent breakfast with Angela who satisfied our every request. The property is immersed in greenery a few kilometers from Peschici. Those few kilometers make the difference because while in the town you couldn't breathe due to the heat, at La Formichina the climate was incredibly cool. Thank you, Angela. Absolutely recommended.

A delightful place, surrounded by greenery, a stone's throw from the sea and the wonderful Peschici. The rooms are spacious, charming, very well cared for and independent, with a small veranda overlooking the garden. Delightful breakfast, friendly and very kind owner. Moreover, there is also the convenience of a pizzeria restaurant nearby, where you can have dinner if you are tired after a day wandering among the wonders of Gargano. I absolutely recommend it!

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night at this cozy accommodation, Angela you are a fantastic person, you gave us your utmost availability leaving the doors of your home open, thank you very much. Everything was perfect, the room well furnished and especially clean, the breakfast abundant and delicious like all the sweets and fruit juices that you personally prepare, also the position of B&B La Formichina near the center of Peschici but in the tranquility of the countryside, we moved around easily having everything at hand. B&B La Formichina is located in a strategic position to reach the beaches and visit the neighboring villages. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort (air conditioning, hairdryer, fridge, courtesy kit), the cleanliness is impeccable, the bed is very comfortable and they have a private veranda with chairs and a table to enjoy in tranquility the cool breeze immersed among the olive trees and fruit trees of the estate. In the morning, breakfast is served in an outbuilding where fresh croissants and different cakes are served every day, all handmade by Angela and her daughter Maria. It is also worth noting the warmth and affection with which Angela and her family welcome their guests, making you feel at home, recommending the best restaurants and the most beautiful excursions around Gargano. Even their dog Rex and their kittens are each more sociable than the other, greeting you on your arrival and accompanying you to your room when you return. Moral: it is a place that I highly recommend, a holiday in total relaxation.

I stayed at B&B La Formichina with Angela and her family in the last week of August 2014. They were beautiful days. The welcome was excellent from Angela, the owner, her daughter, and the dog Rex! I almost forgot about the kittens that always came to greet us upon our return. In their management, you feel the true spirit of the people of this beautiful and genuine land: qualities that are almost impossible to find nowadays. I hope to return soon, even just to say hello to her and her beautiful family!

This year our vacation destination was Puglia. Fifteen days of immersion in a wonderful region that gave us wonderful moments and allowed us to meet fantastic people who left an indelible mark in our lives. When looking for a B&B in Gargano, as usual, if we do not have local knowledge we rely on the internet and we were attracted by Formichina. The choice, as always, is left to chance and it turned out to be spot on. From the very first phone contacts we discovered the atmosphere we would find upon arriving in Peschici. Angela was very kind in guiding us and advising us on the accesses and she informed herself step by step about the progress of our trip. Upon arriving in Peschici, we discovered the family environment of Formichina, with the welcome from Angela, the soul of the B&B, who immediately made us feel at ease and guided us in visiting the structure. The structure is located in the plain facing what is the main beach area of Peschici, where the small port is also located. The position is ideal for those looking for tranquility and relaxation and, at the same time, allows you to quickly reach the main tourist attractions of the area. The adjacent countryside infuses an atmosphere of serenity and allows nature lovers peaceful walks surrounded by the olive trees, which the area is rich in. The structure of the B&B is arranged on a single floor, with rooms equipped with a large bathroom and a furnished veranda with wicker furniture that allows guests a bit of relaxation upon returning from the beach activities. Impeccable cleanliness, room tidying, and linen changes. The breakfast served on the veranda adjacent to the owners' accommodation offers the best local products, including Angela's wonderful cakes, which she delights in new recipes every day to please the guests. But all this pales in comparison to the true discovery you can make at Formichina. Even on the first evening we returned to the B&B, with our reserve as people from Piedmont, we greeted Angela and her family and went to sleep. The next morning we were called back by Angela who explained that it is customary for them to entertain guests until late at night and we thought we would disturb. From the following evening it was a succession of endless conversations in the moonlight. Fantastic advice on restaurants, beaches, and excursions, and let us not forget the products lovingly cultivated by Elia, Angela's husband. What more can I say, if you find yourself in Peschici go to Formichina, and if you do not find yourself there, go anyway.
