Cirò, CITY OF WINE AND CALENDAR is a glimpse of a hill promontory 351 meters above sea level, has very ancient origins and had several names Ypsicron, Krimisa, Paternum. There are 4 museums: ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, MUSEUM OF WINE AND CIVIL FESTIVAL, ASTRONOMIC MUSEUM DEDICATED TO ALOYSIUS LILIUS, reformer of the Gregorian Calendar, MUSEUM OF ALCHEMY DEDICATED TO GIANO LACINIO. Other points of interest: CARAFA CASTLE, BASTIONE CANNONE, CHRISTMAS HOUSE / CHURCH OF S. NICODEMO, The territory, flat towards the sea with gentle slopes, and a particularly favorable climate has established the production of quality wine, obtaining recognition in 1969 Official Controlled Origin (DOC). The black grapes derive from the original Gaglioppo, the white ones from the Greek. in the district there are numerous excellent wineries. it is a dish of memory: "pipi" (peppers) with potatoes or with roasted sausage, but also with cod, polyps and anchovies. desserts include: "i chinuliddi" (biscuits filled with grape mustard), "crispeddi a vento" and "i tardiddi e crustuli" (Christmas cakes).

Very nice room. The only thing missing is options to hang damp towels. The rooftop garden is great.

Neat, clean, and well-furnished structure. Good location in the historic center at the entrance of the village, convenient for parking. Beautiful view from the terrace above. Good assistance from the manager. Recommended.

Hospitality and courtesy are the watchwords. Quiet and clean room, you can feel the feminine touch in the decor, refined and very pleasant. Very nice terrace. Breakfast at the bar is a solution that personally doesn't drive me crazy, but it certainly requires a different type of structure and organization/work, here it's more of an 'optional'... but Mr. Roberto from the bar is nice and the croissants are very good. Thank you very much for the hospitality.
